A proposed visual identity for “The Unforgettables,” a program celebrating the 45th anniversary of A.I.R., the first cooperative gallery for women artists in the country. The identity is rooted in three basic shapes—the circle, triangle, and square—that are present in past A.I.R. logos, a nod to the gallery’s visual history. Each shape represents one of the program’s three parts—a library, reading/working group, and exhibitions—and serves as a building block for a typographic mark for the program, as well as a reimagined logo for A.I.R. Mindful of the gallery’s modest production budget, the materials are printed in black and white on colored paper. For Typography Summer School New York 2017.
