DHS/ICE collects, uses, and maintains CARIER to support the identification, apprehension, and removal of individuals unlawfully entering or present in the United States in violation of the INA, including fugitive aliens. DHS/ICE also uses CARIER to support the identification and arrest of individuals (both citizens and non-citizens) who commit violations of federal criminal laws enforced by DHS.
