Part of a staged intervention in the courtyard of one of Yale’s 14 residential colleges, this work calls attention to the naming controversy surrounding Benjamin Franklin College, which was named after the personal hero of alumnus Charles Johnson. In 2013, Johnson donated $250 million toward the construction of two new residential colleges. Johnson is the former chairman of Franklin Templeton Investments, a global investment firm that is listed as BEN on the New York Stock Exchange.
