Identity and catalogue for Notes: Senior Thesis Show, which took place April 13–20, 2019, at the Yale School of Art, with Hyung Cho and Zhongkai Li. Each student was asked to choose a word related to his or her practice, and the resulting 22 words formed the basis of the exhibition identity. The words interacted with a series of personal objects that the seniors were asked to bring to a staged photoshoot; the resulting class photo became a postcard that was used to promote the show. The catalogue consists of statements written by the students about their words, along with artistic references and photographs of their works. Catalogue and exhibition photography by Rory Hamovit.
A 1929 photograph of Josef Albers and his students at the Bauhaus, which inspired the staged photoshoot.
